The traveller

Street art fresco with workshop by Heta One, Monsieur S and the class UPE2A (Teaching Unit for Immigrant Pupils) at the college Paul Emile Victor located in Rillieux-la-Pape France.

Children between the ages of 11 and 15 from around the world discovered graffiti techniques from May 13 to 17, 2024. The project is the result of a real collaboration between graffiti artists, the school and the students.

On the program, introductory workshops on wooden boards, customization of spray paint, calligraphy workshop, stencil workshops and finally filling on the wall.

The artists met with the students in class to present the project and collect the symbols/words they wanted to appear on the mural.

The spationaute central element of the fresco represents the idea of travel, discovery and the future. He holds an open book in his hands, a symbol of knowledge and dreams. Finally, the motifs in the background were designed to represent elements of craft creations from around the world common to all.

The mural on the entrance wall of the college, it is visible from the outside by all and it welcomes students daily!
