Description

Hetaone’s

“Time of Life” is a work that combines the urban abstraction of graffiti with more personal and intimate elements.
The piece, measuring 51 cm wide and 41 cm high, is made on paper, and a bank statement, creating a contrast between street art and documents of everyday life.

Can be unreadable to the common mortals, a letter “A” of graffiti style, dominates the composition.
This “A” overflows the frame, immediately capturing attention by its oxide red hues. Made of acrylic felt, the letter is a dynamic typical of Hetaone lettering, characterized by intensity and liveliness characteristic of street art.

The closed spaces created by the shapes of the letter “A” have been cut out, revealing in the background another layer of paper. This secondary layer, composed of bank statements, bears the words “time of life”, printed and enhanced by touches of walnut. These walnut spots add an organic texture, evoking degradation and ephemerality.

The artist’s signature appears in the bottom right corner of the composition.
The colors of the letter contrast with the black and white, unsaturated prints of bank statements and the words “time of life”, creating a clear separation between the vibrant foreground and the more sober background.

This juxtaposition between the vivid and intense elements of graffiti and the financial documents of daily life evokes a reflection on the passage of time and the importance of each moment of life.
The “A” that is out of frame may symbolize the aspiration to transcend the limits imposed by everyday reality, while bank statements and the words “time of life” remind us of the structure and the inevitable temporality of life.

“Time of Life” is distinguished by its ability to combine heterogeneous elements to create a work rich in meaning and texture. Hetaone, through this piece, continues to push the boundaries between urban art and personal reflection, offering a composition that is both visually stimulating and deeply introspective.
