Monépok

Created in April 2026 at Sathonay-Camp as part of a residency supported by the Spacejunk Lyon art center, this monumental fresco was designed and painted with the participation of a group of young people from the municipality’s teen club.
The project was born out of a series of meetings and workshops conducted upstream with participants in order to imagine an image capable of speaking to several generations. The exchanges quickly brought out themes related to transmission, the evolution of leisure and the links between childhood, memory and popular culture.
The final composition features a grandmother and a child gathered around a card game inspired by contemporary universes. Between intergenerational references, saturated colors and pop aesthetics, the fresco seeks to create an accessible, direct and visible image on a neighborhood scale.
The project took place over two weeks: an initial phase devoted to the creation of the upper part of the wall, followed by several days of participatory painting with the young people during the April holidays.
The project was carried out in collaboration with Mr. S and with the support of the Spacejunk Lyon team, as part of the Street Art Rillieux program.
